OPERATING TIPS

Caution!

  • Do not plug unit into 110 volt outlet until all instructions below are executed.
  • Bulbs are fragile, protect until light is ready to be put into water.
  • Do not throw fish casting nets near bulb.

1. Find a secure location to mount the 6"X6"X4" junction box. Click here for underwater lighting system that does not require junction box. The box must be close to 110 volt outlet with a G.F.C.I. receptacle. If you do not have a G.F.C.I. receptacle, contact your local electrician to have one installed or contact Green Dock Lights for electrician referral.

2. Mount box securely and making sure sensor is facing forward and make sure nothing is blocking the sensor.

3. At the end of the cable closest to the light create a loop and using two zip ties spaced 1 inch apart to secure the loop in place.

4. Attach the bulb to a weight using the zipties inside the loop. ( this ensures when moving the light or positioning no undue stress is placed upon the bulb)

5. Decide where you want the placement of the light. Determine the depth of the water. Keep the light at least 4 ft. below the water line at all times. The placement of the light is also determined by the clarity of the water, and the depth of placement. Contact a underwater lighting professional today to determine the best system for your waters. 727-321-6665

6. Once lowered, plug the cord into the outdoor G.F.C.I. receptacle. Your light will come on briefly when you plug it in... remember the photocell. Then when evening comes the light will illuminate the world beneath. Depending on water condition and depth, you should have a circle of approximately 20'.

7. Green Dock Lights are absolutely maintenance free. Every night the light goes through a process of naturally burning off and combating any barnacles or algae that may occur.
